Bow to the King!

Report Date: October 11, 2004

Lets get this weather back to normal but I don?t know if that possible. It is that time of year the cold fronts are coming through.. This usually causes the fish to shut down for a day or two. Well that just some of the fish.

When we had a hard time getting the Snook or Red fish to bite we went to Trout fishing. They did not care what the weather was doing they were hungry. The early morning Trout fish has been awesome with the Trout

we have been catching Mackerel, Cobia, Blue fish, Jack Crevalle, Flounder, Grouper, and a few others. We have been having a lot of fun with these fish as quick as you can get the bait in the water you have another fish on. The Trout of the week was a 21 inch Trout.

Then we have the Tarpon fishing. We can talk about the big ones that got away. We only got one day of Tarpon fishing in but we managed two hook two Tarpon that were both over 125 lbs. We lost both of the fish to the bow you have to bow to the Silver King. We did see a lot of Tarpon rolling and feeding before the sun came up.

The Snook bite was a little slow in the beginning of the week. As the week went on the weather improved and the Snook got back to normal. We had

a few days where we caught over 25 Snook and on some of the slow days we only caught maybe 8 Snook or better. The Snook of the week was a 27 ? fish.

The Red fish bite was just about the

same as the Snook but it was not only because of the weather it had a lot to do with the tide. We had been catching most of the Red fish on the low tide off the edge of the bars. Most of the trips that we fished last week were just morning trips and we did not have enough time for the tide to get just right.. This is why some times it can be important to fish a full day. A few of these day we did managed to get on some really great Red fish, .The Red fish of the week was a pair of nice fish one 30 an the other 31 inches. They were caught with a lot more very nice fish.
