Spring Fishing Is Coming Tampa Bay!
Report Date: February 22, 2014
It is starting to feel like spring in Tampa Bay. Well, minus a few cold spells here and there. Although the weather is being finicky, the fish are not. They are biting despite the weekly changes in the weather.
When one of the cold spells comes through the area, we fish with shrimp. We switch to live bait when the water temperature is 60 degrees or higher. When the fish aren’t biting shrimp or live bait, we move to jigs. Fishing with jigs is a good way to cover a lot of water and catch great fish. Mostly, we’ve been using MirrOlure’s soft baits and had great results.
