Tampa Fishing Is Staying Strong!
Report Date: November 19, 2013
Cold fronts are sweeping through the Tampa Bay area more often as winter nears. Despite the cold fronts, fishing has been great and should remain that way for the next couple of weeks.
We are going to have to deal with strong winds at times, but wind won’t keep the fish from biting. Until the water temperature drops below 60 degrees, the fish will continue to bite.
The redfish bite has been mediocre lately. Certain days it seems as if you can’t get away from them and other days you have to work hard to catch them. However, we’ve been able to catch redfish every day. We have been catching many of these fish on the outer bars.
The grouper and snapper bite has been good although we haven’t put in a lot of time catching them. It has been a bit too windy and ruff. Believe it or not, there are still a few tarpon hanging around. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your trip
