Outstanding Red fish!
Report Date: July 26, 2004
Well do to the weather this week we had to call off a few trips but the days we did manage to get out fishing were really successful. Starting with the Snook fish this week it was great most of the day that we Snook fished we caught 25 Snook or better.
Most of the Snook ranged between 20-25 inches. The Snook of the week was caught more then one day we had 2-3 days where we caught Snook that were over 27 inches .The Snook of the week was a 28-1/2 fish.
The Red fish bite is on. They have been going nuts the early morning bite has been the best. Well I just say that because most of the fishing for Reds has been early. With the low tides that we have been having in the afternoon the Red fish will probably feed real good too.. But every morning that we have fished we have been lucky. Some days we only caught 15 Red fish and the other day we caught over 35. . Most mornings have been in between there somewhere. The Red fish of the week was real nice it was a 36 inch Red that probably
weighed over 15 lbs. On the light tackle this fish put up one heck of a fight.
Then we have the one day that we got to do a little Tarpon fishing. Most people think that most of the Tarpon are gone but we are still catching some fish. Well this one day of Tarpon that we got to do we had some luck we managed to hook 4 Silver Kings but we where not able to boat them .It is still worth it just to watch these beauties jump.
