Finding fish in Tampa Bay in warmer water!
Report Date: November 13, 2010
It’s here, in Tampa Bay! The first real blast of cold air that is, and it has put the fish on the move. Although a few cold fronts have already swept through the Tampa Bay area prior to the one that hit the area last week, they just didn’t bring as cold of weather to the area. The water temperature decreased significantly, and it really started to feel like November. Despite the cold weather, wind, and decreased water temperature, fishing was great!
The cold weather
caused snook to make their way to warmer water. We have caught some really nice snook lately, which makes me a happy camper. It is nice to see so many snook alive after so many of them died last winter. As long as Tampa Bay doesn’t get another winter like last year, I think we are going to see a great amount of snook come back.
Redfish tend
to stay in the Bays when it gets cold. The cold weather does however push many of them into shallow water, which makes them a bit harder to catch. If you put some time into redfishing, you will find a great bite. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your trip today!
