Tampa Bay Non Stop Action!
Report Date: March 26, 2009
Tampa Bay fishing has been producing non stop action lately! A front did come through the area last week, but it didn’t seem to faze the fish. We did, however,
have to move and fish in new areas to get out of the wind. We had great luck catching fish in those areas. The temperature was a bit cooler, but it didn’t affect the water temperature.
Each fishing trip we took this week, we managed to catch a slam, or even better, a grand slam. Catching a snook, redfish, and trout is considered a slam. Add a flounder to the slam and it becomes a grand slam. We certainly didn’t have any days
where we missed the slam and we caught a grand slam almost everyday. This week’s bite has been great and should continue to stay that way over the next few months.
One fish that we should have seen in the bay by now, but haven’t
is the tarpon. They just haven’t shown up yet, but they should appear any day now. Although the tarpon haven’t shown yet, the grouper bite in Tampa Bay is great. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your trip today.
