Tampa Bay Fishing Has Not Slowed!
Report Date: December 1, 2008
It’s been up and down windy not windy over the past week we have fished in it all. The good news is the fishing has still been great through it all. We have had to change the ways and areas where we are
fishing for some of the fish. The important thing is we are still catching fish.
On some of the really cold mornings we have been fishing way up in the river. Most of this fishing we have been doing with shrimp catching a lot of redfish, snapper, snook, sheepshead and a few others. It has been a good bite just about the time the shrimp hits the water you have a fish on at times. A lot of this fishing is
done around structure, docks, trees, or others things in the water.
If we haven’t been way up in the river we been fishing on some of the flats around the mouth of them. You will still find a good amount of snook and redfish this time of the year in these areas but at times they can be hard to catch. A lot of times you either need some of the really low tides so the fish get pushed off the flats or you have to fish really shallow. We have been doing a mix of both catching some great fish. This fishing we have still been doing with live bait. This time of the year with the cooler water temp you have to be really patient to get the fish to bite sometimes. You get that sun up just right and that water temp gets up above 62 and its fish on!
We are going to change it up a little next week so be sure to check the next report out.
