Tampa Bay at it finest fishing!

Report Date: June 9, 2008

We had some awesome fishing last week mixed in with a lot of fun on the water. More and more fish are starting to show up for the summer time fishing. Over the past couple of weeks we have had a lot more snook and tarpon showing up in some of the areas where they usually spend the summer. The only fish during the past week that we have had a little trouble catching has been the great redfish. This bite has been a little slower. There was a lot of redfish around before the full moon. But after that we haven’t had a lot of fish show up back in the bay.

Tarpon fishing over all has been really great we have had a lot of fish show up on some of the rock piles in the bay, still a few around the bridge, then you have the tarpon fishing off the beach. Last week was the first day of this type of fishing; we managed to hook three fish and get two back to the boat!

I will

say this if you are having any trouble with the other types of fish you can go do some snook catching. The snook fishing has been our best bite for fishing in the bay. This time of the year the snook are hanging around the passes and areas where the tide plays a big part of the day higher tide fish are in the trees then once the tide changes the fishing for snook is going off!

Up

date on the Pro Tarpon Tournament. Made the top 25 out of 60 boats next week is the finally tournament so will let you know how it goes!
