Snook and more Snook!
Report Date: November 15, 2005
Well that wind has still not really let up at least not for a whole day. Some days the mornings have been nice then the wind picks up before the afternoon starts or the other
way around. But I can tell you that it has not hurt the fishing at all. It was awesome all week long. We had some of the lowest tides that I have seen so far this fall.
Well I will start with the Snook fishing. Well for this past week I might be calling that the wrong thing we should be calling it Snook ?catching? it was some really great fishing. Depending on the tide it has varied where these fish have been located on the flat. We have had no trouble getting these fish into a frenzy catching these fish 2or 3 at a time sometimes. Which you can only imagine how the numbers can add up when these fish are going crazy like that. We had a lot of very nice fish this past week. The Snook of the week was caught this past weekend in a fishing tournament. The gentlemen that caught this fish ended up getting the 4th biggest
Snook in the tournament it was a 35 ? inches Snook that put up a great fight.
Well believe it or not for the fishing tournament we had to do some Trout fishing. I can tell you do not try and do any Trout fishing in the afternoon. We have not been doing a whole lot of Trout fishing because they have been out of season. To say no more we caught a few Trout but we had a hard time it was nothing like
the Snook fishing.
Then we have the Red fish some days we really caught and others we had to work for the bite a little but each day we managed to catch a few Red fish. The Red fish of the week we caught during the tournament as well this fish was a 28 inch Red fish that put up a great fight. This Red fish plus 15 ? inch Trout and the Snook of the week 35 ? inch put us in 5 th place over all out of over 50 charter captains not to bad wish we could have had a little better Trout.
