It is getting to be about that time of the year where the fish are starting their transition to where these fish spend their winters. We still have a while and the fish cooperate very well over the next couple of months. As it starts to cool down these fish start moving toward the rivers and some of the shallow bays that surround the rivers. This is why this time of year we do a lot of fishing surrounding the rivers.

I will start with the Snook fishing,

this time of year we start catching a lot of our Snook in the rivers. We still have had a lot of luck catching big numbers of fish and we have no trouble getting these fish into a frenzy. As it starts to cool down we have more luck catching bigger fish. The bigger fish start eating better with the water temp dropping and these fish start preparing for the winter. Usually this time of year the bait start getting a little bigger and sometimes easier to catch. You know what they say bigger bait bigger fish.

Trout fishing well to be honest with you we have not had a chance to do a whole lot of fishing for Trout. But this time of year these fish usually start to get a little bigger as well. We fish for the Trout this time of year on the edge of the flats most of the time in 4-6 ft of water. Usually we anchor on the edge chum some baits and you will know if there is fish very soon. If you have trouble catching these fish try using a cork sometimes this will make it easier and the

fish will not steal as many baits.

Then we have the Red fish, these fish are not bothered by the cooler water as much. As the water temp changes we change how we fish for these fish as well. These fish don?t move as far away from were they spend their summers. This time of year we still have no trouble catching good numbers of these fish and tides play a big factor. This time of year is when the tide is lower and we are

fishing in the white holes and troughs then on the high tide these fish go straight to the bushes. This is when we do a lot of fishing in the mangroves. Here lately we have been doing most of our Red fishing on the lower tides with a lot of success as you can see in the before and after pictures of the Red fish.
