Lets say Shark!

Report Date: October 17, 2005

Where do I start I don?t know what to talk about first. The only thing I can say is that the fishing is outstanding. Most of the week it was a little windy but we just had to work with it a little. You can always find a spot in the back water to get out of the wind and catch some fish.

Well I will start with the Red fish this fishing has been very good. We have not had too much trouble finding a big school of Red fish this past week. Catching them was another thing some of these fish were moving around fast. One of the problems that we had was not having enough bait to chum these fish up and keep them feeding and staying around. Toward the end of the week we had a couple of days that we had no trouble catching the Red fish at all big numbers in a short amount of time we had some really nice fish. The Red

fish of the week was a 29 inch fish that put up a awesome fight.

Then let?s talk about the Trout which has picked up also. A lot of these fish are still a little small but you just have to pick through them for the keepers. The bite is good we are catching these fish still around the areas where the bait is.

Well that brings us to the Snook

fishing which is outstanding and we have had a lot of fun with these fish. If we had any trouble finding Red fish we made up for it with it with the Snook. These fish have been getting in to a frenzy that have been outstanding We have caught good fish each trip like the Red fish we just went through a lot of bait catching these fish. Most trips we managed to catch a few big fish. The Snook of the week was a 28 inch fish that put up a great fight.

Well I have not seen it myself but the hearsay is that the Tarpon are back. But I have to say this is the right time of the year for the fish to show up so before the week is up I will know and have some pictures to share with you next week.

I almost forgot some thing a little

different we had a day where we did some Shark fishing. We had success well we managed to catch two , one about 4 ft and the other 5 ft. We anchored up and within 10 minutes we had a Shark on and the second was just a few minutes after that and the tide went dead. It was pretty windy that day so we headed for a better protected area and caught a bunch of Snook. Come visit www.castawaychartersinc.com for pictures.
