A little night fishing!

Report Date: October 3, 2005

Here we are with a week of a few different things. It was another great week with different tides and different times of fishing. The weather this week was very nice. It is getting back to normal with some showers in the afternoon.

I will start with the Red fish. We had some fun this week with these great fish. We did not have any trouble getting these fish into a frenzy each trip. These fish were just

in different locations depending on the tide. We did do something a little different I had an afternoon trip that we had a lot of luck with the Red fish. We had a lot of fun but as you can see we could not see very good. We started catching the Red fish right before the sun went down and managed to catch these fish till about 9 pm. If we had not ran out of bait we might have caught fish even longer. We ran out of bait because we had to chum a lot to keep these fish in a frenzy. It was a little different I have caught these fish in the dark before but it is an experience. With these fish we managed to catch the Red fish of the week. It was a 30 inch fish that put up a good fight in the dark.

Then we have the Snook fishing

which was just as good if not almost better. The fish this week were a little smaller then the past couple of weeks. We still had some nice fish. The Snook of the week was 30 inches. Even though they were a little smaller we did not have any trouble catching a big number of fish. We had some days that we caught over 30 Snook in a short amount of time. Most of these fish were 18 -25 inches which on the light tackle are a lot of fun.

Jacks that?s right big

fat Jacks if you are up for the challenge come on. We have had a lot of fun with these fish. We had a lot of luck hooking the big Jacks but getting these fish to the boat is work especially getting them out of the structure. As you can see in the picture we did manage to catch a few of these fish. The picture is one of the smaller fish probably about 15 lbs.
