About time!
Report Date: May 5, 2005
Well it was really nice for a couple of days before the wind decided to turn on and give us a hard time. But with some hard core focus and good fishermen we managed to have a good week of fishing. Some days we had to work for it a little harder but it paid off in the long run.
I will start with the Tarpon. We did not manage to
get out and do any Tarpon fishing this week, mostly because of the wind it would have been too rough. But the good news is that I do have some guys that are wanting to Tarpon fish so hopefully we will have some good results.
The Trout fishing is still at its prime. Almost all of these trips we have managed to get these fish into a frenzy and catch a good number of fish. We have had a lot of nice Trout most trips. If you are wanting
to catch a few fish to keep these are a great fish to do that not only can you keep a few but they are really good eating. The Trout of the week was a 25 inch fish.
Then we have the Red fish. We?ve had
some pretty good fishing. These fish have been fun and like the Trout we have managed to get these fish into a frenzy as you can see in the picture. You can almost call this pandemonium when you get three to four fish on at one time it can get a little crazy. We had a lot of great Red fish last week but the Red fish of the week was a 32 inch fish.
Then comes the Snook fishing for the
last week of open season and be able to keep the fish because it closed on the 1st. You can still catch Snook and release them which is still fun because the Snook are out of season and not as many people fish for them which makes the fishing a lot better and there are times that you can catch big numbers. We had a great last week of the season and caught a lot of nice fish. The Snook of the week was a 32 inch fish.
