Its Summer Time and The Fishing Is Hot!

Report Date: June 1, 2013

It is beginning to feel like summertime in Tampa Bay, and fishing has been outstanding. It certainly isn't as hot as it was this time last year, but it is getting hotter and hotter each day. We will continue to see changes in the weather and water temperature as we transition into summer.

The water temperature is still a bit low compared to what it normally is this time of year. However, with it not being so hot, it makes afternoon fishing more enjoyable because it's not too hot. The fish seem to like the cooler than normal afternoon weather too. We've had some really great afternoon bites lately.

We have been fishing mostly for tarpon lately, but have also been catching snook, redfish, and trout too. Fishing is great so don't forget to book your summertime trips.
