Tampa Bay – Bradenton – Sarasota – Boca Grande

That time of the year in Tampa Bay!

Report Date: November 20, 2011

It’s that time of year again in Tampa Bay. The time of year when numerous cold fronts swipe through the area, and cause the weather and water temperature to fluctuate on a regular basis. The cold fronts decrease the water temperature and basically shut the fish down. However, in between these fronts, fishing is usually outstanding.

When the water temperature increases to the 63 degrees to 70 degrees range, the fish starting chewing.

Lately,

we’ve mostly been fishing back in the Bay and up in the rivers. We have been very successful at catching snook, redfish, trout, and flounder. These fish are in the same areas, so you only have to drop your anchor once to catch a grand slam.

Overall,

fishing has been great. Yes, we’ve had some pretty cool mornings, but it hasn’t slowed us down. We’ve caught some great grouper on some of those cool mornings. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your charter today!
