Tampa Bay Summer is gone -Fall fishing is here!

Report Date: October 18, 2010

So long summer…Fall has definitely arrived in the Tampa Bay area. Along with fall comes cool mornings. Sometimes the cool fall mornings can feel downright cold to a Florida native like me. If the temperature goes below 70 degrees, I not only wear sleeves, I layer my clothes. The cool fall weather sure has dropped the water temperature quickly. Right after a cold front moves through the area, the water temperature has been almost too cold, to where it’s been tough to get the fish to bite. However, some fish really like the cool weather and water temperature.

Lately, fishing is great. To tell the truth, it really can’t get much better than it is right now! Almost every species of fish is biting right now, and it should remain that way until we get a super cold winter blast. The water temperature will have to drop roughly 10 more degrees before the fish move and the live bait bite turns off. Until then, many tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, and other species are currently waiting to be caught. Please visit www.castawaychartersinc.com and book your trip today!
