See it to believe it!

Report Date: October 11, 2005

Well this is one of those things that you would have to almost see to believe. It was a frenzy like no other. The fishing has been great we have had some very nice weather for the most part.

Let?s start with the Trout fishing. We did some Trout fishing early in the morning the other day which is when we usually have the most luck with Trout. A lot of the fish were just under size 14-14 ? inches but we did manage to catch a good amount of keeper fish. 15-18 inches. Most of the Trout we have caught other then this day have been mixed in with the Snook, or Red fish.

Then we have the Snook fishing this was very successful. We caught a lot of fish each trip in a short amount of time the biggest trouble was having enough bait. A big part of catching these fish is having a lot of

bait to chum to get these fish feeding. The Snook of the week was a 27 inch fish. We don?t want to get talking about the fish that got away. Just remember that is how they got that big so we will just have to catch them the next trip.

Red fish, I don?t even know how to

talk about this one other then it was some of the craziest fishing I have seen in a while. It was awesome each trip we got tried of reeling fish in I mean it was crazy. After a while we were up for the challenge of what we could catch a Red fish with. I started with a cork in front of a bare hook but I have caught Red fish this way before when you get them feeding good. Then I found a feather floating in the water and a piece of cardboard that was on the boat all

this we caught great Red fish on, but I have to say the craziest was on a bare hook. I don?t think you can get much better then that, maybe I could have tied a bait on with no hook. Well it gives me some thing to try next time. Like I said it was almost some thing you would have to see to believe. We do have some pictures as you can see the Red fish of the week was a 33 inch fish.. Come visit www.castawaychartersinc.com for pictures.
