Windy can help!

Report Date: September 28, 2005

Here we are with another great week of fishing. At the beginning of last week the weather was a little rough. The wind was blowing pretty good because of the storm out in the gulf but this did not hurt the fishing at all. If any thing it helped. The wind was blowing out of the north-east which made the tide a lot lower then usual which is the way I like it and the fishing was really great.

Let?s start with the Snook fishing. It was great and we had a lot of really nice fish. We got these fish into a frenzy each trip. We had a lot of nice fish last week that were in the 30 inch range. We did have one really nice Snook, it was the Snook of the week and it was the first Snook that this gentlemen had ever caught. It was a fish that was 33 inches that put up a great fight. This was a good fish especially for the first Snook that he ever caught.

The Trout fishing has picked up and it is not that we have been doing more fishing

for them. We have been catching a bunch of Trout mixed in with the Snook and Red fish. These fish are starting to get bigger well big enough to keep. The Trout of the week was an 18 inch fish.

Red fish and more Red fish this bite

has been very good as well and we had a lot of good fish. Most of the fish we caught last week were in the slot size 18-27 with a few bigger fish mixed in. The Red fish of the week was a 29 inch fish. These fish are a lot of fun on the light tackle. We did do some thing a little different in the past couple of days but you will have to check next weeks report for details!
