About time!

Report Date: September 12, 2005

We had a great week even with the weather messing with us all week. I think it helped us more then it hurt us. Most of the week the wind was blowing 20-25 which is pretty windy but it just made it a little rough getting to the locations where we did most of the fishing.. But the wind did not hurt the fishing at all if any thing it helped. For one thing with a Northeast wind it will make the tide a lot lower then it usually is and it has pushed the Red tide that was in the bay out.

Where do I start I guess with the Red

fish we have managed to catch a few of these each trip. Well I say a few this past week we have got these fish in to a frenzy each trip and caught a large number of fish. Most of these fish have been 18-27 inches most pushing the top end of limit which is 27 inches. That is as big as you can keep the fish. The Red fish of the week was a 30 inch fish that put up a great fight. These fish pound for pound are great in that they fight harder then the Snook but with the Snook you get a real show.

That will bring us to the Snook fishing like the Red fish we have had no

trouble getting these fish into a frenzy like the Red fish. With these fish you have to work a little harder to catch a keeper fish. This is because these fish have to be 26 inches to keep which is a real good size fish. We have managed to catch a few keepers each trip. Most of the fish range 22-25 inches which on the light tackle are a

blast to catch. You hook one of these great fish and they go running for a big run and usually leap into the air. We had no trouble catching a bunch of fish each trip. The Snook of the week was a 30 inch fish.

Last we will talk about the Tarpon as you can see in the pictures we have not had a chance to do any Tarpon fishing. That is because the other fishing has been so good. But maybe we will get a chance to do a little Tarpon fishing next week.
